Equal Rights Network: A new national GLBT coalition

The GLRL’s past federal strategy has always involved working with lobby groups from other states. A new development in early 2004 has been the birth of a more formal national coalition, the Equal Rights Network. The ERN is a coalition of state based lesbian and gay rights organisations, including the GLRL, and national bisexual and transgender organisations. It’s still early days, but it is hoped that the ERN will assist in the coordination of a national approach to federal issues leading up to this year’s election and beyond. The ERN does not yet have a website.
